Making Black History This Week: Jamal Sims

"What a week..Choreographed the new song 'MAS' on the Ricky Martin Tour earlier this week, started working with a new boy group that's about to blow up Justin Bieber style! Was a guest speaker at USC for career day. Now just got home to relax..ahhh. Have to get ready to go to the Oscars on Sunday and Oprah on Monday! Living the dream......"
-Jamal Sims (FB quote/status update of the decade, keep doing it big Jamal!)
Jamal "Jamizzi" Sims is a good friend that has achieved some incredible accomplishments in his life and career. I think it's wayyyy pass time that the world knows of his contributions to entertainment and the world. You may recognize him from working with Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, Miley Cyrus, N'Sync, and so many others, but read on to see how creative Mr Sims really has been.

As you can see from the quote above, Mr. Sims, has had a awesome busy week that is very inspiring to hear about. But what many do not know is that he takes time to give back to his friends and family and this past Sunday he decided to teach a group of untrained friends how to dance to choreography. I was blessed to participate in this training session that gave us all a true feel of how difficult it is to learn and teach choreography. But prior to this week Mr. Sims, accomplishments stretched far and beyond what many would have ever imaged.

Jamal has been the artistic director and choreographer for numerous films like the newly released Big Mama's House: Like Father, Like Son, starring Martin Lawrence, also the soon to be released Footloose remake and last years Step It Up 3D. This weekend Jamal will also be the artistic director behind the choreography for the 2011 Academy Awards, teaching the hosts, James Franco and Anne Hatheway how to move and look cool on stage. His accomplishments go on and on, but this young man has made major contributions to entertainment and it's way pass time for more light to be shined his way.

Jamizzi have a blast at the Oscar's and know that we'll all be watching...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
